Traditional Country French Style Garlic Soup

A rich and flavorful soup combining the classic taste of garlic with the savory addition of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the garlic to the pot and sauté until golden.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  6. Blend the soup until smooth, then garnish with crumbled bacon and parsley.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
