  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, and ground ginger.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove chicken and shred.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl and add to the remaining sauce. Cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the sauce and stir to coat.
