  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, pumpkin spice, salt, and ground ginger.
  3. In another large bowl, whisk the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and oil together.
  4. Add eggs and pumpkin puree, then mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in the buttermilk.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Scoop the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about halfway.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let donuts cool before glazing.
  10. To make the glaze, mix brown sugar with a bit of milk until you reach desired consistency.
  11. Dunk each donut in the glaze and let it set on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add more pumpkin spice.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
