Outback Potato Soup

This hearty Outback Potato Soup combines the rich flavors of turkey bacon and chicken ham, providing a warm and comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  2. Add potatoes and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the turkey bacon, chicken ham, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for another 5 minutes, then blend the soup for a creamy texture, if desired.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra turkey bacon and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, add a cornstarch slurry during the last simmering phase.
  • This soup can be easily customized with your favorite toppings such as cheese or sour cream.
