A delicious and easy recipe for funnel cake donuts that brings the carnival to your kitchen!

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Using a funnel or squirt bottle, carefully drizzle the batter into the hot oil in a circular pattern.
  6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-4 minutes.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Donuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • For extra flavor, add cinnamon to the powdered sugar.
