  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and walnuts.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. To make the frosting, beat together cream cheese, maple syrup, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Once the blondies have cooled, spread the frosting over the top.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the frosting.
  • Let the blondies cool completely for easier cutting.
