Creamy One-Pot Broccoli Cheddar Orzo

A creamy, savory dish combining orzo pasta, broccoli, and cheddar cheese, finished with the deliciousness of turkey bacon.

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. Add garlic powder and onion powder, stirring for a minute.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add orzo and broccoli, cooking until tender.
  5. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Top with chopped turkey bacon and serve.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or carrots.
