- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. Stir this mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and remaining cinnamon. Fold half of the muffin batter into the prepared muffin tin, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture, and cover with remaining batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While muffins cool, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over cooled muffins.
