Cajun Potato Soup

  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chicken ham, and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning; let simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, topped with crispy turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning or hot sauce.
  • Vegetarian option: use vegetable broth and omit bacon.
